A little girl spent two years earning the chance to welcome her very first cat. But once the cat truly became part of the family, the joy of companionship also brought new difficulties. Mom had always feared the mess that came with furry pets. When the cat clawed the sofa, that worry became even more broader: could cats and sofas ever share the same home?

Dad began searching for a sofa that would genuinely work for a cat-friendly family. What he found was not a complete lack of solutions, just none that truly felt right. Scratch resistance, stain resistance, and easy care could address some of the basics. But many products lacked the look and feel to fit naturally into the life of a moder home. Many were priced well beyond the reach of normal families. Very few designs originated from the perspective of cat and human sharing a life. The relationship between people, cats, and furniture at home requires serious rethinking and re-imagination.

That is how Monster&C began.
